fluffy siberian huskyContrary to the popular belief that I just made up, this mighty breed was not named for the size of its first owner. The name “Husky” actually originates from a name for the Eskimos themselves. Appropriately enough, this dog is bred for warmth (both his and that of his owner, since Huskies can be snuggly), and strength. Their fluffy coat conceals a powerful body, well-suited to doing the work for which they are known – pulling sleds and performing other tasks requiring their immense strength and stamina. The Husky may not be the biggest of the northern dogs (that honor goes to the Alaskan Malamute), but he’s definitely one of the most famous. After all, most of the northern dogs featured in movies have been Huskies. That’s due to their similar appearance to their wild cousin the wolf – and unlike that wild beast, far more easy to handle!

Now that we have some of the facts about Husky’s out of the way, let’s see how you do on this fun quiz. If you read this post, then you will do well.

The 3 questions ask in this animal quiz are…

Q1. All Siberian Husky’s have blue eyes?

Q2. What were Husky’s originally used for?

Q3. Siberian Husky’s are part wolf.

So how did you do?

Do you know more about these awesome dogs than you thought?

We know that real Huskies may not be suitable for all families and that is why we off some of the cutest plush pups ever. You don’t have to worry about a huge yard or finding a sled for them to pull, they will be happy to just snuggle up with you!
