Do you like dogs? Cuddly dogs? Lovable dogs? Friendly dogs? Well, you must, if you’re reading this. Just a hunch. You’re in luck. Russ Berrie’s Bichon Trixie is just such a darling.
Bichon is actually French and translates to “small, long-haired dog” It also shares similarities linguistically with the word for a female dog, which we won’t repeat here ’cause we’re professionals and such. Now, it goes without saying that small, fluffy dogs are cute. Especially when they are well-behaved. By extension, doesn’t this mean that plush figures modeled after such cute fluffy dogs are even better? Of course it does! Okay sure, the dog can’t wag its tail (assuming the breed sports one), lick you and make your day with all manner of silly antics. But! You don’t have to clean up after it, feed it, or worry when it gets sick. These are plusses, if you ask us.
Speaking of sport, this little lady, comes from a long line of various non-sporting dogs, of which Bichon is merely a type. At the top of the list, you’ve got the Maltese. This ancient breed hails from…where else? Malta. The list goes on to encompass Greece, Germany, even Cuba and Russia as sources for other breeds of Bichon, each with their own level of popularity and unique traits.
With her drop ears and fluffy white coat (that’s hair, rather than fur, unlike most dogs), Trixie is clearly a Bichon Frise (basically “curly white lap dog”). Known as a cheerful and friendly breed, Trixie comes with all sorts of recommendations for you lovers of small cute stuffed animals. At 12 inches long and 10 inches tall, Russ Berrie’s Trixie is a memorable delight for any lover of dogs and plushes alike.
