Male goats are called billies or bucks (like deer, though goats are more closely related to sheep) while female goats are known as does (again like deer) or nannies. Personally, we prefer the names billy and nanny. What about you? Most breeders of goats use the names bucks and does. And the kids are called….kids. Who knew?
Goats do flock together like sheep, but not quite as tightly. When grazing, they will usually spread out, and when faced with danger, goats would rather face their attackers, unlike sheep, who tend to turn tail and run. So you can bet that this sweet, curious and normally gentle-natured nanny goat will rise to the occasion if some threat rears its head. Just like that troll from the story that the three billies outfoxed and knocked into the river. She may not be a billy, but you can bet this mama will stick by you and stick it to anyone who gives you grief.
Not only does Hansa’s plush nanny goat look like the real thing (since they base their plush animals on the photos of real animals!) but she is also made of 100% kid-safe materials and is as snuggly as you could want. This lovable lady is 13.5 inches from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. Just look at that rich brown hide, those inquisitive and friendly eyes, those cute spiraling horns. She positively oozes personality, and would like nothing better than to send some time with you.
