Where to begin…. You might not think it to look at her, but Ingrid and her species were bred to be herding dogs. What? You don’t believe us? For shame. We’d never tell a lie. Except for when we would. But rest assured this is not one of those.
Corgis are not as big as the other classic European herders, the Scots Sheepdog (Border Collie) or the Old English Sheepdog, but they were bred to be shorter, so the inevitable kick from a cow or what have you would go right over their wee little heads. Unlike the BC and the Old English, the Corgi was originally bred in Wales. They’re every bit as energetic, warm and loving as those other breeds. And they have a unique charm that that Lassie and the Old English walking rug lack.
Their fox-like appearance, coupled with the Pembroke’s (what Ingrid is) lack of a tail, when coupled with that strong, compact, low-to-the-ground body put together a dog who is truly unique and a true treasure of the canine world. In this case, it’s the literal truth. Queen Elizabeth II of England happens to own several. You might even say they’re Her Royal Majesty’s own mascots. With friends in high places like that, Ingrid the stuffed Corgi, is clearly in the best of company. Now all she needs is you. With her bright expressive eyes, happy-go-lucky demeanor and boundless charm, Ingrid makes a fantastic addition to the collection of any lover of plush animals or of dogs. Hands, and paws down.
