Stuffed Animals Details

** Stuffed Rhinoceros
** Standing, Gray Body and Horns
** Made by Fiesta Toy
** 13 inch

Looking at the rhino, it’s easy to guess how he might mesh with some species of dinosaurs from ages past like the Triceratops. Incidentally, rhinos are one of the few remaining examples of megafauna left on the planet, joined by such fantastic specimens of Nature’s awesomeness as the blue whale, the ostrich, the hippopotamus, the saltwater crocodile, the whale shark, the green anaconda, the Komodo dragon, and the giant squid. The one thing that all of these animals have in common is their enormous size and weight compared to related animals (if there are any).

But for the rhino’s great size and strength these stocky quadrupeds are rather placid of nature, subsisting on vegetation and foliage. And there isn’t just one species either. There’s the two subspecies of white (actually gray) African rhino, then the Black (also African) rhino, the Sumatran rhino, the Javan rhino and the Indian. On top of that, not all of them feature the iconic double-horned look. The Sumatran, which is the smallest and hairiest has two horns like the Africans. The Javan and Indian rhinos have but a single horn. The other thing besides similarities in diet that these guys in common is that they’re all huge, weighing from 1,500 lbs to over 7,000, depending on species.

All this is to say: Fiesta brings this magnificent and sadly endangered specimen to life in all the cuddly ways that the real thing isn’t. At just 13-inches long, he’s the perfect pal for a nap or playtime!
